Let me present to you, our project L’Atelier des Cousines, which is a workshop for creative and driven collectors at heart.

We nurture a passion for beautiful objects and the art of creating charming atmospheres.

We are the founders, Elisabet and Cristina, born in Barcelona.

This project was born as a tribute to our grandmother Elisea, a tenacious and enterprising woman who has inspired us in the selection of textiles that dressed our childhood years.

We have undertaken to find textiles of times past, selecting in each case the most promising application to make them as attractive as possible.

We strive to use them in new ways and prolong their life cycles in contemporary style.

In our search, we have discovered some treasures and some treasures have discovered us. Together, we have developed the concept which has become L'Atelier des Cousines.

The first proposal from L’Atelier des cousines: Children’s Cushions

L’Atelier des Cousines offers a selection for young children : Scottish Collection for boys and Village Collection for girls.

This collection daringly sprinkles kaleidoscopic colours in children's bedrooms to create a marvellous, multi-coloured world where cushions and pillows contribute to the oneiric atmosphere. Flower prints, Vichy plaid, 100% cotton in olive green, violet, pumpkin orange and lilac combined with matching tassels

make for perfect accessories to liven up children’s spaces and atmospheres.

Textiles for girls convey chic romanticism.

For boys we have selected the emblematic plaid inspired by the latest trends in children’s runways.

a lot of us know vipp.
the history, the beautiful bins, the limited edition colours.
but now, i got in touch with the vipp kitchen, and that's something that made me very curious..

responding to the clients needs for privacy and a division of function in their studio,

Richard Shed & An Michiels solution was to design a partition wall which has a defining presence in the space. the structure ensures that people are aware of activity from either side in a non-intrusive way.

a small story about a great product..

.. after many years of being forgotten, with the Arne Jacobsen relaunch the table clock is making a strong comeback into modern interior furnishings.

thanks to updated functions such as snooze and light sensors, the table clock serves as both a clock and an effective alarm clock, but most will probably use the new table clock as a design object.

with it's graphic black/white colour scale and elegant metal foot with unmistakable inspiration from "the Ant" and "Seven" chairs, the table clock fits in well anywhere in a modern home: in the bedroom, living room, kitchen, on shelves and not least in the office as the ultimate gadget for design lovers.

tenue de nimes is located at elandsgracht 60, amsterdam

they have a webshop, and, what i like most, is there 'journal de nimes'

just a little something about them;

conceptstore; playtype.

playtype is located at Værnedamsvej 6, Copenhagen

and will be open for exactly one year-

from december 1st 2010 to december 1st 2011

originally playtype comes from the Danish typeface designers e-Types.

they have opened a shop where customers can buy digital fonts in a physical space.

you can also find posters, t-shirts and homeware decorated with letters.

designstudio 'Vij5' has presented in Milan the first prototypes, of the NewspaperWood collection, a selection will be included in the Vij5 collection.

a little bit more about the material, because it's such a great idea;

every day, piles of newspapers are discarded and recycled into new paper. Mieke Meijer has devised a solution to use this surplus of paper into a renewed material. when a NewspaperWood log is cut, the layers of paper appear like lines of a wood grain or the rings of a tree and therefore resembles the aesthetic of real wood. the material can be cut, milled and sanded and generally treated like any other type of wood

a beautifull store in stockholm; grandpa.

grandpa has three stores in stockholm with woman and menswear, but also vintage&stuff.

for me; a very good combination :)
