amazing place to stay in holland:

You drive into the forest, passing the sign ' no entry '.
Today it's ok. Because you're going to sleep in the woods.
In all silence. With at most, the rustle of the trees. To be woken in the morning by birds.
A forest walk starts here at the front door. And the only unexpected guests are a few boar, a deer or a cheeky squirrel.

this is where i want to be this fall.

look at their website for more information.

a home to get lost.. and wander.. and relax..

this is the home of julie pointer.

almost everything in her home is from the side of the road or a second-hand shop.  she’s drawn to natural tones and textures, so her eye is constantly on the lookout for beautiful materials that will also last: wood, wool, linen, earthenware, glass, etc.
like many artists, julie has a tendency to collect, and if she’s not careful, those collections can quickly overwhelm the house. luckily, much of what she collects are objects from nature — driftwood, pinecones, stones, shells and plants — so if things become too cluttered, she simply releases her collections back into the wild.

thanks to emma's design blogg, i found the photo's of diana lovring,
together with sanne korsholm she made a beautifull serie of photo's  in an old police lockup.

i love it how they put the garden into this space, with all kinds of nature,
even the chair- the butterfly by arne jacobsen fits perfectly.

thank you emma, for sharing!

you might know the lights from Bocci-
i like them for a while, especially when i saw this great move at rossana orlandi.

and now, this week, they are presenting this new line:

part planter, part chandelier, a new concept by Omer Arbel for Bocci consisting of small globes of blown glass, some containing small plants and others housing lighting elements.
the series will be presented at spazio rosana orlandi during the Salone del Mobile in Milan.

Thomas Voorn develops prints of flowers and plants from his own city garden in Rotterdam The Netherlands. Home grown, nurtured, handpicked and photographed by Voorn himself. The designs are sharp and photographic, as well as subtly irregular in pattern to give them a handmade feel.

into the green,
in the home of  Maurizio Zucchi.

elle korea did a fantastic piece on Maurizio Zucchi and his home,
this ‘Botanical’ type home come garden is packed with skilfully woven fabrics and patterns, the cacti and furniture setting off each room perfectly.
amazing how each space is so vast and open but the plants partition each section off so it feels more tightly packed. from oneeightnine
